Apparently I was really into this chord progression.

You remember the first time you figured out how to flip the tape over and make music play backwards? Well, I do. It was when I made this song.

An attempt at writing a love letter to a girl I’d just started dating.

Sheer jest. I think August and I were up late, just playing song ideas. You can hear him singing a little backup in there.

The idea here was to base a simple song around the effect of a handheld tape recorder being paused and un-paused repeatedly, during a recording. Most of the vocal sounds were August. It sounds strange now.
